Israel Experience

A week in Israel that changes what you think is possible.

Reading about the Start-up Nation and standing inside it are different experiences. On an ILAN experience you spend a week in Israel with the people who built one of the densest innovation ecosystems in the world: founders, researchers, investors, and public officials who will tell you exactly what worked and what didn't.

You come back with contacts you can write to on Monday, technologies you can apply to your project, and a clearer sense of the scale you should be aiming for.

Types of delegation

Two ways to experience it

VIP Delegations

For business leaders, investors, and senior decision makers.

A week of direct access to the people who move the Israeli ecosystem: the funds, the companies, and the technologies that never make it onto a public agenda. Every meeting is arranged for a reason, and the reason is your business. You leave with partners, with technologies you can license or adapt, and with a foothold in a market that is famously difficult to enter from the outside.

University Delegations

For ILAN university award winners.

Winning an ILAN Award can earn you a place in Israel. You spend a week inside the innovation model your project needs: the labs, the mentors, and the technologies that can move it from a university assignment to something the market takes seriously. For many of our winners, it is the first time people with real authority in their field have taken their work seriously. It is rarely the last.

Empowering discovery: what starts as a journey becomes a global community.

TESTIMONIALS

  • “The journey with ILAN is a transformative experience from start to finish. I take away tools to implement professionally, but also lessons that helped me grow as a person. It was very nice to connect with so many other young people who share an interest in entrepreneurship, who are curious and decide not to settle, but rather to innovate and go further.”

    — Lucía Santilli · Edumatch · Argentina

  • “Living the ILAN experience is a turning point. It is not just a technical learning trip or a tour of universities: it is a deep immersion into a culture that transforms scarcity into opportunity and history into purpose. To future award winners, I would say: go with an open mind, ask everything, absorb the resilience of the place, and connect with every person. You will rediscover the reason why you decided to become an entrepreneur, and you will not only return with tools to generate real impact, but also with a family and a home.”

    — María Agustina Roux Guillén · SIMAI · Argentina

  • “I arrived thinking I would learn about technology and entrepreneurship, but I am taking away a much more valuable lesson: great ideas are born when we dare to serve, collaborate, and turn challenges into opportunities. This journey will not only give you knowledge, it will also change your perspective and remind you that true leadership consists of leaving a positive mark on others. Thank you, ILAN, for an experience that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”

    — Héctor Daniel Garduño Flores · Mexico

  • “I arrived as an introverted person, afraid of the country, afraid of being alone, afraid of being far from home. And that helped me realize many things I am capable of that I didn't know. Not everything is beautiful on these trips: you run into the fact that sometimes you don't fit in with the group. But it's about daring, and if things don't go well, you continue. I assure you that at the end of the trip you will see that it was all worth it, and you will turn that energy into motivation to start the change that is needed. You don't need to be accompanied, just have the courage to dare.”

    — José Manuel López Lemus · VR LEARN · Guatemala

  • “This experience has shown me that, in our countries, there is talent in abundance; what is often missing are organizations like ILAN, which create opportunities, promote ideas, and motivate people to fight for their dreams and turn them into reality.”

    — Sebastián Secaira Blanco · Pouchalito · Guatemala

  • “This experience has shown me that, in our countries, there is talent in abundance; what is often missing are organizations like ILAN, which create opportunities, promote ideas, and motivate people to fight for their dreams and turn them into reality.”

    — José Alejandro Castañeda · Spoilies · Guatemala

  • “Seeing how in such a young country they managed, in an almost magical and innovative way, to make trees grow in the desert, showed me that this search for solutions applies to all aspects of life. When something seems impossible, that is exactly when you have to try. As Picasso said: ‘Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.’ This trip was precisely that.”

    — Adrian Bruno Caruso · Bidagua · Argentina

  • “Being innovative is not just about thinking of a sophisticated solution and building it from a garage. It is also about knowing how to communicate, knowing what the competition is building, talking to leaders, and being part of them. ILAN boosts those skills, putting you face-to-face with the people who are working to change not only the present, but the future.”

    — Lautaro Silva · Sentinel Tech · Argentina

  • “Go ready to connect. The true value of this opportunity lies not only in the technology you will encounter at each innovation center, but in the human network you will build between Latin America and Israel.”

    — Freddy Armando Velásquez Girón · SIMAT · Guatemala

  • “I leave with a sense of belonging to the ILAN community that I know will serve as a solid foundation for me to continue with my project. Knowing that I have peers with projects at similar stages gives me peace of mind and motivation that we can continue together.”

    — Arantza Méndez Rodríguez · Perkins Jr · Mexico

  • “This experience has shown me that, in our countries, there is talent in abundance; what is often missing are organizations like ILAN, which create opportunities, promote ideas, and motivate people to fight for their dreams and turn them into reality.”

    — Joel Dellamaggiore · Alertify · Argentina

  • “ILAN is an incredible organization that taught me not to give up on my ideas, and that I can leave the world a little better when I go, by innovating with something that serves everyone.”

    — Orquídea Esmeralda Girón López · Guatemala

  • “The concept of Israel according to public opinion and the news is that of a place of fear, doubt, and conflict. However, on a personal level, it was the best experience of my life, and I know it is not what is believed: it is the total opposite.”

    — Bryan Hernández López · Renova · Costa Rica

  • “A single week that changes your life.”

    — José Alejandro Castañeda

    — Eitan Wuhl

What a week with ILAN looks like

Visits to research centers, startups, funds, and universities

Working sessions with Israeli specialists in your field

Meetings with founders and public sector leaders who have built at scale

Time with the rest of the delegation: the people you will still be working with years from now

What starts as a trip becomes a community.

The delegation lasts a week. What it creates lasts much longer. Everyone who travels with ILAN joins

ILAN Network, where innovators from seven countries and every generation of awardees keep

meeting — to open doors in each other's markets, to bring in the specialists their projects need, and to

report back on what they actually built.

That is the real programme. The trip is how it begins.
