Yesterday, ILAN – Israel Innovation Network had the honor of attending the launch of the book SHI – Superheroinas Innovadoras Mexicanas at the Soumaya Museum, an event that brought together more than 100 women leaders who are transforming their communities through innovation, empathy, and action.
Throughout the evening, inspiring voices like Altagracia Gómez Sierra, Paulina Abascal, Zaira Lorena Zepeda Huerta, Bea Gasca, Cristina Pineda, Itzel Suárez, and Lorena E. González reminded us of the tremendous value of female leadership and its power to spark change at every level. We extend our deepest thanks to Carlos Glatt, creator of this groundbreaking project, for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful and inspiring night.
Our founder and president, Isaac Assa, also addressed the audience, sharing the story of how a conversation with his mentor and friend, Shimon Peres, former President of Israel, inspired him to create ILAN. In his words:
“I once asked him why most of his closest team members were women. He looked at me and said: Isaac, if you want to succeed in life, always surround yourself with women. They are more loyal, more sensitive, harder working, and they possess a unique trait: the ability to do multiple things at once.”
At ILAN, we believe that bold ideas, when supported by strong collaborative networks, have the power to change the world. That’s why we don’t just organize delegations to Israel for young innovators to experience its tech ecosystem—we also provide access to a global platform for networking, strategic mentorship, and scaling high-impact projects.
Just like the trailblazers featured in SHI, every individual at ILAN shares a common vision: to lead with purpose, innovate with courage, and build bridges that connect talent with real-world opportunities.
This event was a powerful reminder of why championing female leadership and human-centered innovation matters more than ever. At ILAN, we’ll continue to inspire, connect, and empower the minds shaping our future.o.
